Your dentist would recommend a bridge if you have to have a tooth removed, or have a gap resulting from a missing tooth due to injury or decay.

A bridge consists of two crowns which are attached to your natural teeth either side of the gap, and one or more false teeth in between which fill the gap and restore your smile.

Like crowns, bridges are a relatively common dental requirement, but thanks to their discrete appearance, you probably won’t be able to tell if someone has one. Bridges can also be made of combinations of porcelain and metals, and the best option for you will be discussed with you as part of your treatment process.
